I came across this instrumental by chance once when I was looking for a surf style tune to play along to. I liked it so much that I just had to record it myself. It's a pretty accurate recreation of the original which is by Martin Cilia.
guitar instrumental shadows style slow and thoughtful

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
I used my Yamaha Pacifica 612V mk.1, processed via a Line 6 Pod Go unit to achieve an authentic Hank Marvin / Shadows, lead guitar sound. There are two acoustic guitar (panned left and right), a clean electric rhythm guitar (centred), a bass guitar (a Crafter Cruiser, P-bass copy) A Zoom RT-123 Drum Machine (programmed and also played manually, and a couple of Stereo lead guitar tracks with delay and reverb. The tune is at a tempo of 84 bpm. The delay is set to match the tempo. (about 702 ms) Then of course, I couldn't resist adding a few sound effects...waves, seagulls and bits of the recorded guitars. All in all, I'm very happy with how this has turned out.
