Been a while...
May 10, 2008

Man, it's been a while since I have done anything creative. The job has kind of eaten my life and I really haven't had time for anything. I have been toying with some new(er) equipment, though when I have time. Always trying to get "the sound"! Well, hope all is well with all. Hopefully I will have something to post sometime in the near future. Till then, Love to all..........
My Wife...
Aug 30, 2007
Fear not everyone....My wife is alright! It's been a year almost since going in for brain surgery. She was diagnosed with a a tumor that pretty much encompased and shut down her pituitary gland. When they went in (through her nasal passage) to remove it they found it was a huge abcess and not a tumor. Soooo....It took a while to recover and treat the infection but after a couple months she was good as new! That was probably the scariest thing we went through, and we have been through alot (I am an 8 1/2 year vet of the Marine Corps and Army)!!! So, don't fret - she is fine and takes good care of me as I take good care of her!! 11 years of marriage and still going strong! Never take your life and health for granted - it is a pure gift to be able to experience the journey of life....
Green Boy Returns...
Aug 28, 2007
Well, I couldn't leave well enough alone! First, just a big thank you to anyone that had the mispleasure of listning to any of my music! I couldn't believe that I actually made it to anyone's "charts"! Who knew? My last little blues spent a week in the Top 10 at soundclick.com. Seems to be fading a bit though, as I don't have the time or money to promote my tunes. It's just a hobby anyways! Sooo...not content to just sit back and be a one week song wonder, I went back to the laboratory. After some 'sperimentation, I have come out with my latest offering: "Green Boy Returns...". This one is going to take some 'splaining, so bare with my imagination if you could. The song is a whole combination of things put into a fictional, sci-fi kinda thing. Some real, some imagined (go figure!). I think it began (this is the "real part") when I was 7 or 8 years old and I saw something that was completely out of this world. My mom, sister, younger brother, and I were coming back from an evening of sleigh riding in NY and when we came to the side of our house we saw some lights in the sky. Now, I don't know what exactly they were, nor will I ever. All's I know is that the lights changed to different colors as this cigar shaped thing moved through the sky. It difinately did not look like any aircraft I had ever seen. It stopped mid air for a moment, changed colors again and then vanished straight up into the sky/space - who knows? We all saw it and still talk about it to this day. Always made me think that there's something more out...somewhere! Hell, if you don't believe me, just ask Tim, aka "TimDog". Now of course, this was during the Star Wars craze, so just imagine what it did to the wanderlust of this little boy! O'h the places that there are to see and experience... Allright... so you take some wild, crazy, real life kinda thing and mix it with 1/2 cup of Star Wars and 1/2 cup of Ace Frehley, Joe Satriani, Billy Gibbons and all things blue, with a couple shakes of love for writing and reading fiction and this is the end product: Our hapless hero, "Green Boy" - an extraterrestrial bio scientist who's experiment goes, well....to good. G.B is one cool mutha - Kinda a little old John Lee Hooker in green skin and alien form. If his space ship was a car, it would be a big, pimpin' Cadillac. After years of other worldly research and bio-engineering, he produces his ultimate "Female huminoid" creation - and falls in love with it. Trouble is, she's here on earth and he's...well, he will have to travel a bit. Add to the fact that his skin is green and he is forbidden to fall in love with his "work"....you got the eternal struggle between doing good, and "doing somethin' o'h so great"....a space age "Romeo and Juliett". So, this song is him, returning to his love. It's hard to believe myself, but I am completely drug free - and was sober when I came up with this. Maybe the inmates are influencing me more than I thought! As of now the recording is a bit rough - hey, whadda ya want - it's a freaking demo! I had to keep it simple to get the basic theme down and of course economize space. There are also words that aren't written yet - I am working on it and hopefully will have that tracked and recorded soon. I hope you all at least get a good laugh at this sucker! Untill next time, keep your feet on earth and an eye on the horizon...........
