Sad news to share- Mike Smitreski of "The Creatures of the Golden Dawn" and his current project "Shadestream", passed November 25th 2008. There will be a tribute on WFMU radio, Tuesday Dec 2, 2008 Noon to 3 PM.

Hi Sandy,
Just sitting here and thinking wonder if Sandy has any new tunes. So I came over. Instead I am spinning Right now. That bass has a sweet sound. I guess that is your keyboard bass? It sounds very realistic. Hope all is well and wishing you a great 2011.

Dear SoundClick Friends,
We lost a dear friend, Mike Smitreski on Nov 25th 2008. Mike was a songwriter and a musician for The Creatures of the Golden Dawn, The Steeds and his current solo work, Shadestream. Mike was the oldest of 14. He worked as a distance education engineer at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania. He enjoyed star-gazing, photography, hiking and gardening. His musical loves were 60's garage music and the group YES.
I collaborated with Mike on his Shadestream projects, "Dream" and "The Sky Is Falling" and he worked on several of my songs. It was amazing that we got any work done, because most of our time was filled with laughter.
What a wonderful memory to hold on to.
