Influences and music styles ranging from basic to progressive rock, with definite Retro seventies sound. If you enjoy the sound of Moody Blues, George Harrison, Genesis, Dead Can Dance, and others of the same style, more or less, you will probably like this music. I use quite a bit of Mellotron and acoustic fingerstyle guitar as well.

Story behind the song
Earth, as we know it has reached the end of time. Our Sun is in the last vestiges of power and will soon dissipate and destroy all life on our planet. Now, the select inhabitants of the dying earth put together its best minds and technologies to manufacture huge solar powered ships with large "pod" communities that will sail the solar currents in the vastness of space to find a new Urth. Along the way, humanities realities shift in accordance with the strange laws of psychic dimensions they encounter.

Love the colors and dissonances you're using in this track, puts you right in the mood of interstellar travel. So cool when the electronic noises come in around 2:30, totally surprising. Oh, and Gene Wolfe has to be my favorite author along with J.R.R. Tolkien, the Book of the New Sun is pure genius!!

An epic creation. Lots of very interesting sounds and changes. Your imagination knows no bounds. Especially like the 'unexpected' change . . .to all the computer 'bleeps and strangeness' . . . then to an uplifting theme to end the journey.

FAR OUT, CARLO! To say the least...again, you have come up with a MASTERPIECE for the CBC Song Challenge... the mix is great...and the ambience of SPACE is perfect, as intended, by your most creative music mind. All were superb here...but the production is especially noteworthy!!!!!
