The Messiah didn't come as a King in all his glory, or a Warrior in all his might, but as a baby. An original Christmas song with background children's choir.

Tracy Keeney, Tracy Rivest, Country and Contemporary Christian music
Hello and Welcome!! My name is Tracy Keeney (Rivest) and I'm a songwriter writing mostly Contemporary Christian and Country music and dabbling in sacred choral works as well. I'm a member of the Nashville Songwriters Association, and am registered with BMI. Since several people have emailed me asking about a CD, I thought I'd take this opportunity to explain why I don't have one. Though I did write and sing the songs on my site, these are actually just "demos". But, if you hear a hear a guy singing-- yeah, that's not me :) UPDATE: Julie Burton did the vocals on Tapestry of Life. LOVE her voice! Demos like these are what I send to the record labels. Then hopefully, we sign a publishing contract, and one of their artists record a song and put it on THEIR CD. For example, the demo here for "It's Still Your Hand" was recorded and produced in Nashville by Galen Breen. My co-writer, Steve Anderson and I then sent the demo to Lamon Records, and one of their gospel artists, Sheila Albritton recorded it, and put it on her latest CD, "Faith In Time". I'm really not interested in the performing/gigging side of music, having to promote myself, etc, so I'd rather have someone ELSE record one of my songs and put it on their CD. And actually, I did the travelling/touring thing with a band back when I was 19 and single. I'm 40 now, and married with 4 kids. My happy butt wants to stay home! Eventually, I WILL put a CD together of me singing my songs. But right now, I still have about 30 songs that have yet to be professionally demoed. Once I have a good 10-12 songs done, I'll put them on CD. A heartfelt and sincere THANK YOU to all those who've been so supportive! My sweet husband William and our incredible children, Sara, James, Mary and Emma; my mother Rosemary, my brother Joe and his wife Nicole; and dear friends, Jennifer, Michael, Tom and Judy. Most especially, to a loving Father in Heaven and His Holy Son, my Savior and Redeemer, who have given me every breath, every joy, and every inspiration. What CAN I do, but SING! Tracy

Story behind the song
It was 3 days before Christmas. My husband and I had been having talks each evening with our children, talking about Christmas and the real reason we celebrate. One of the things we discussed was how at the time of the Lord's birth and during his ministry, many didn't believe, and how that's still true today. We also talked about His eventual return. The next morning I woke up with the hook of this song in my head. When I first wrote it, I wasn't too happy with the music. I wanted it to have a more "Christmas-y" sound. I thought about trying to incorporate the tune to a traditional Christmas carol into the accompaniment. Then as I was playing through the chorus, I suddenly could "hear in my head", a children's choir singing the "Gloria's" from "Angels We Have Heard On High". I called my kids into the livingroom and had them sing the "gloria's" while I sang my chorus. It fit perfectly and this was the result! I also "hear in my head" a full symphony with this, but since they can't fit in my livingroom........
Lyrics
"Majesty Enough For Me" Words and Music by Tracy Keeney With excerpts from "Angels We Have Heard on High" Traditional Christmas Carol-- public domain They were waiting for a Savior Someone to set them free Expecting Him To come in majesty But He came as a baby Born among the sheep In such a humble way Their hearts would not believe Though He was born within a cattle stall He was born to save us all And wisemen came to see their newborn King There was a new star shining in the sky And angels sang on high And Hope was born that sacred silent night And that's majesty enough for me. They were waiting for a Savior Someone to set them free Expecting Him To come in majesty But He came as a Shepherd Gathering His sheep In such a humble way Their hearts would not believe Repeat Chorus One day He will come again Descending from the sky The fullness of His glory Plain to every human eye And once again the heavens will ring In celestial harmony As all the hosts of angels sing The coming of our Lord in majesty! Repeat Chorus w/ Children's Choir Piano & Vocals: Tracy Keeney Children's Choir: Joey Rivest, Jessica Rivest, Summer Moss, Desiree Moss, Marissa Smith, James Keeney, Mary Keeney, Emma Keeney
