Story behind the song
This is based on a true event that happened right here in Nashville...sometimes truth is stranger than fiction...:) The only difference in my song, vs the true event is that the one neighbor beat the other one to death with the fence post.
A little trivia for anyone offended by the word a01C b*** a01D being used in this songa026herea019s the
Merriam Webster (online) definition of the word: (seemed appropriate enough for usage in this particular song a013 LOL)
1: the female of the dog or some other carnivorous mammals
2 a: a lewd or immoral woman b: a malicious, spiteful, or overbearing woman a014sometimes used as a generalized term of abuse
Hope you get a few laughs from this songa026ita019s intended to be a humorous number. Thanks for giving it a listen, Carolyn
It just goes to prove......things can turn ugly when you go messin' with what is ours.

Forea019 I knew what hit me I was hauled off to jail
Chorus 1
How was I to know Your Honora019s daughter lived by me
Ana019 shea019d been wagging her tales up and down our street
I wasna019t rolling over, knew the land was rightly mine

Verse 3
Next day my surveyor showed up in the street
Sat up all his gear and guess who he got to meet

Now therea019s a bunch of daisies circling my land
Marking my territory from beginning to end
Ana019 I aina019t seen that snoopy neighbor ever since
I buried her olea019 bones in that ditch by my fence
