Story behind the song
The inspiration behind this song was to further promote Artist, Bud Perry’s career. We recorded, Alone Again, at RCA Recorder Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. Les Ladd was the engineer. Dale Sellers was the guitarist. If memory serves me right Dale was the left-handed guitarist on the “Hee Haw” show of years ago. The “Harden Trio – Eileen Harden” were the back-up singers. When we were leaving the recording studio they were playing the song over the PA system and the gal’s who worked there came out of their offices to see the person behind the voice. They were so impressed. Bud always garnered that kind of attention wherever he performed. Footnote: Artist, Bud Perry’s, big brother Bing, who sat in on many of our jam sessions, could really make a harmonica cry. These sessions were a lot of fun and Bing would play that harmonica and get Bud’s creative juices going to come up with so many wild songs. Bing was 100% Country and one of Bud’s greatest fans and an extra special person.
