Christopher John Kempfer was born February 7, 1982, in Phoenix, Arizona. Daddy was moved to and throughout Missouri in 1990. Daddy began songwriting and rapping at age twelve while living in Springfield, Missouri, for a few years. Daddy moved to Marshfield, Missouri in 1993 and graduated from Marshfield High School in 2000. He attended Ozarks Technical Community College on a Director’s Scholarship. After moving to back to Springfield, Daddy dropped out of college to take care of family. Daddy began creating Life Is P.A.I.N. (The Underground Mixtape, Vol. 1)(2005) in 2002 after his short-lived first marriage and rough living conditions. Unable to find local music producers, Daddy began crafting beats and instrumentals eventually making Life Is P.A.I.N. (The Underground Mixtape, Vol. 1) tangible in 2005, after re-enrolling into college for electronic media publishing. Life Is P.A.I.N.(The Underground Mixtape, Vol. 1) gained the interest of several local recording artists and producers. Daddy began guest appearing and producing for a local artist and friend, Ryan Pilkington (known as Baby Lee). Daddy produced eleven of the 18 tracks of Baby Lee’s Hood Hopp’N mixtape, and guest appeared on “U Ain’t a Gangsta” and “On tha Run”. While producing Baby Lee’s mixtape, Daddy simultaneously recorded, produced, and released his second mixtape And I Rize (The Underground Mixtape, Vol. 2)(2006). On February 7, 2006, Daddy formed Lost Soul Recording & Publishing. Shortly after the release of Daddy’s second mixtape, he began producing and guest appearing exclusively for local Springfield artists and groups. From May 24th through May 31st of 2006, Daddy wrote, recorded, and produced God’s Child: The Requiem of 7 Days. Daddy claims it to be his masterpiece inspired by political events, personal trials and tribulations. Daddy has yet to release it but has released several rough draft versions of some songs. After Daddy began promoting his mixtapes and networking heavily in 2007 on several internet sites, he took a hiatus from writing and rapping to help re-establish his mother’s business. Daddy and his mother discovered her business had fell victim to embezzlement from several former general managers. Daddy helped re-established the business to a profitable state before the bank called the notes, essentially closing the business in 2009. It was during Daddy’s hiatus that he was verbally attacked by a nameless person on SoundClick. After taking it personally, Daddy released a free downloadable single, “Get Clapped” throughout all his promotional web pages on the internet. It was later discovered that the nameless attacker was bullying several other artists and groups by posting derogatory remarks. Daddy also released the rough draft version of “Make It Thru”, along with several others tracks that would later make their way to Shhh!!! The Mixtape. Daddy released his first studio album Shhh!!! The Mixtape on June 15, 2010. Several tracks were released as singles prior to the initial release of Shhh!!! The Mixtape. The single “Son’s Song (Are You Sorry?)”, which was produced b Daddy and was released to radio stations on April 17, 2011. It was with this release that several perpetrators purchased several tracks from each of Daddy’s mixtapes and album in an attempt to defame Daddy and others. The perpetrators later distributed a compilation of Daddy’s music to Missouri’s Children’s Division, a psychiatrist in Columbia, Missouri, and attorneys in both Laclede and Camden County, Missouri, for dissemination, re-distribution and profit. In August of 2010, Daddy announced that he was preparing to release a follow-up album entitled Shhh!!! The Mixtape 2 and that he had teamed back up with Baby Lee. But in the following months after releasing that statement, Daddy had made many trips to the emergency room. In December of 2010, Daddy was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer. Daddy spent the majority of 2011 and 2012 recovering from multiple surgeries and chemotherapy. In May of 2011, Daddy resurfaced as the producer to Jilla’s “Justice Served” and “Motivation (Remix)”. In July of 2011, Daddy announced he has changed the title of Shhh!!! The Mixtape 2 to Post Vitam Meam and the release date is yet determined. In September of 2012, Daddy began collaborating with the rap group GBF.
