on burdened scaffolds stood an insurgent above contrary virgin ground
the embodiment of hecate as she watched the sun go down
and in the public censure of the demonic young girls lust
admonishing eyes gave to her their sins in a veil of trust
and as the beast of virtue lowered her head to weep

so their own might be drowned out
and in the blackest caverns, the improper cast down their humble eyes
for the one and only sweet hannah, jesus in a whores disguise
