Lyrics
I Don’t Think That Times Are Bad Verse 1 Many people gonna tell you, when you get out of school Get you a credit card or two So you can have the things you want Right now Well I don’t need no credit card Cause if anything it makes it hard To live my life, without a worried mind Refrain Well I don’t think that times are bad When I’m not up with the latest fad And I think you see just what I’m gettin’ to Yes I think you see just what I’m getting’ to. Verse 2 Well the next thing that’s a necessary thrill Is to get you a brand new automobile And perty soon, you’ll be really fit to kill Well I don’t need no car that’s new Or to worry ‘bout those monthly dues Besides the old ones are easier to fix, that’s true Refrain Well I don’t think that times are bad When I’m not up with the latest fad And I think you see just what I’m gettin’ to Yes I think you see just what I’m getting’ to. Bridge Well don’t you get all discouraged When your friend drives up in a your dream Cause under that smile, is a great big ole pile Of bills that stretch to the sea Interlude: Verse 3 Well the next thing, cause you ain’t there yet Is to get yourself into that there Jet Set And perty soon you’ll be flying high as the moon If this sounds like something you can dig Well it ain’t much different than a heroin rig Cause once you’ve played your cards, it’s hard to renig Refrain Well I don’t think that times are bad When I’m not up with the latest fad And I think you see just what I’m gettin’ to Yes I think you see just what I’m getting’ to. And I think you see just what I’m gettin’ to Yes I think you see just what I’m getting’ to.
