Original Progressive Jazz Fusion
Hi and welcome to my music. Decoy Beat is my current project. Check us out on Facebook or here on SoundClick. I am using this page for all of my other solo recordings. I have composed, performed or programmed, and produced all parts of all these songs, except for "Therefore I Jam". On that song, my brother, Bob Kastrinos, played keyboards and Edgar De Sola provided the drum works. All songs were recorded and mastered in my home studio. I am the first to admit that I am a guitarist, not a Recording Engineer.

Story behind the song
The chord progression for this song was written around 1981. After listening to Jeff Beck's Space Boogie from the There And Back album, I was inspired to write something that had a lot of changes and a driving double-bass drum that kept the song moving. Over the years, the chord progression didn't change but the feel and tempo did mellow some. The middle keyboard section was added for this recording. I never really had a melody line. I would just try to play as many notes as I possibly could and still follow the changes. For this recording, I only did that during the bridge. :-)
