a treasure awaiting redemption day
and you know Lord I feel like I've been put on a shelf
I guess so I can be filled with you and die to myself
but I'm not happy, Lord You know
but I'm learning happy's not the status quo
just to be content where You've placed me

but the "joy of the Lord" shall be my strength...
Catastrophic change is often hard to bear
but You're miracles abound so we all know You're there
but I'm new wine in the bottle somewhere sideways in the aisle
I maybe feel the Vintner's turning hand just once in a great while
and it's so hard Lord just to sit and ferment
...just wish I could repent
and get it all over with somehow
but You're telling me that's not the issue now
oh but changing me, can't You see that I don't like it
And the closer that I look Lord the more tarnish that I see
so hard to keep this world from rubbing off on me
but this bed in which I have chosen to lie
is the bed in which I have chosen to die
although it ain't no bed of roses I guarantee
on that final day I know where I will be
