Yes,this one is very Brit-poppish at Chorus Part,-something very symphatetic to the Hollies' "Jennifer Eccles".The verse is more of C,S & N ("Carry on" etc.).Fantastic chordal movements of the vocal harmonies,-can't hear alot of this stuff in nowdays music, which makes your effort sounds very fresh.Performance ,especially vocal,is just second to none.
Mando is meltin' beautifully into the whole agenda.Loved this little citin' of the well-known tune (I don't know wthat it's in English, but it's well-known tune in Estonia,- considered as almost folk-one,-I mean, whenever guys got drunk, they startin' to wail this song, and everyone seem to know at least few verses of it...LOL! In Estonia it's known as "Kalle Gusta")
Thanx for stoppin' by and commenting on Black Lace.No,-it wasn't Rick there.I was playin' leads on Korean rendition of the Gretcsh,-"Tanglewood"-hollow-body electric which is usual choice when I'm trying to blend jazzy-feel with Blues/Rock.

musically excellent , I love the mandolin and the palm muted electric guitar , wonderful chorus , the lead break is great , really reminds of British folk rock , I am really liking this happy upbeat song , the mandolin adds so much mood to it .this is the kind of song i woant to hear on the way to work .
cheers
Hi JIm, afternoon with you is so different, I really enjoyed it...mandolin is beautiful...I am so glad people don't let this instrument get extinct. I am glad you enjoyed Mighty Oak...seems like a sleeping giant this one LOL
