Jeff Perard, President and co-founder of JAI Records, launched the label out of his Miami apartment in 2003. JAI has grown into a diversified music company with a reputation for discovering and developing innovative music. In its five-year history one can see that JAI will become one of the industry's cutting edge labels by introducing to the world such artists as JON QUEST, BLACK BOI, NON, J-3, and MISS P. The label currently maintains an ever-growing staff that will expand from Miami, Atlanta, New York and Los Angeles. JAI stands for (Js Artist International), a label made by artist for the artist.
Over the last several years, the independents have consistently surpassed many of the multinationals in market share. As ongoing corporate consolidation transforms the music industry, the biggest beneficiary of the restructuring has been the independent sector. JAI Records, a leader among groups of independent labels, will one day become the largest frontline of freestanding record companies in the United States. JAI Records will also become a leader in music delivery on the Internet.
JAI Records provides focus and skills that has made them one of the most anticipated upcoming independent labels in years. A native of Miami, Jeff Perard grew up with music playing a major role in his live. Jeff brings his dedication to music and the prosperity of the independent community with a unique understanding of the music world. Development of young talent and the passion to teach has kept Jeff involved in music for over 20 years. He is married and is the proud father of two beautiful children.
