Another slow, sad, reflective piano-ballad. The sound is quite haunting, actually.

Piano-based, stripped down demo's.
Um, it's just me, actually. I'm just a songwriter who's cut a few demo's. If you like 'em by all means drop me a line - I've got a shed-load more (fourteen by twelve)

Story behind the song
If you've read the story behind "Always" ... well this is the very first song I wrote "the wrong way round" on that Saturday morning. Yeah, the tune was nailed in just 90 seconds (well, to be honest, I spent a further 5 minutes tinkering about on the keyboard to get the bridge) The original lyrics were called "Whatever Your Poison" and it was just screaming out to be done as a full-tackle-out rock song. But Tammy, my studio vocalist at the time, is better on those haunting piano numbers ... so I came up with some new lyrics, more in keeping with her particular strengths.
Lyrics
The Ballad of Nature Just come when you like Why don’t you go just when you please? Don’t matter, to me, no more Can’t put up a fight Because I’m down here on my knees You know my dreams just took a walk Out of that door Chorus You know however hard I try You know I’ll love you ‘til I die And that is why Why you never …. ever loved me You never tried hard Oh no you never had to try ‘Cause I would always come running back to you The turn of one card Could be the ocean or the sky But I would always come running Running to you Chorus Bridge Just look around Look at their eyes – they’re all looking at you In every town I see their eyes ‘cause they’re looking at you You overheard those telling words as they’re looking at you Is she with her? I know those words left their mark on you Chorus
