Total semi-competent amateur and proud of it! There are currently 10 full albums, 5 EPs and numerous stray tracks available here... keep checking up, cos more music is appearing all the time... For album and EP artwork, visit . If you think you can stomach more of this shit, then why not check the , and wonder at my musical development (or lack thereof...) I now also have a page dedicated to I've done for other people... Finally, there's also a wee side project that I have which goes by the name ...

Story behind the song
This is my first ever attempt at folk type shit and the first track I've done to feature me, er..... "singing"...? Basically, it's part history lesson and part inducement to taking pride in working class identity. It really annoys me that Tory swine like Churchill and the Duke of Wellington are seen as heroes when real heroes like John Ball, Tom Paine and Sunderland's own "Free-Born" John Lilburne are largely forgotten. It's all down to history being written to suit the purposes of the ruling class. Even at more mundane levels, the role of the common people is marginalised and forgotten. Look at any of the old cathedral's in Britain and you're told it was built by the Bishop of such-and-such or Lord Whatever.... totally ignoring the fact that actually it was built by hundreds of skilled masons and carpenters, labourers and blacksmiths. Even the claim that they payed for it is nonsense when you start inquiring into the source of their income: ultimately, it was all payed for by the tithes and taxes extracted from the peasantry. Too many people have forgotten their history. How can you understand the present without knowing anything of the past?
Lyrics
We've forgotten who we are Deep down in the dark lie our roots Day after day we swallow your lies As you help yourself to the fruits We're the ones who made this world It's our labour that planted the seeds With the pick and the plough and the sweat off our brow We provide for all your needs Who laid the roads? Who built your homes? Who made the clothes you wear? From coal seam to deep sea, from office to factory You'll find your answer there We've forgotten who we are Every day our dues are denied For all our forbearance we're granted a pittance Expected to swallow our pride Humble, silent, servile That's the place of the poor, so they say You get what you're given and scrape out a living And get your reward when you die But I still remember the Dream of John Ball: Justice, Equality, Freedom for all And I still remember Tom Paine's "Rights of Man" Remember, "United We Stand"
