GFK is playing Hardcore mixed with Metal stuff. Plain Heavy stuff !
GFK is a 5 piece political hardcore/metal outfit from Quebec City, Canada. They have been rockin' around Eastern Canada for 7 years now. The line-up have changed several times since the band was searching for the style that fits the most with their attitude and inner feelings. Now, the band has been with the same line-up for a while, which is: Jessy : Vocals Vincent : Drums Remy : Guitar & Back Vocals Mike : Guitar Sonny : Bass & Back Vocals In the past three years, GFK have toured many cities all around Canada, even Europe with bands like Snapcase, 59 Times The Pain, Darkest Hour, Misconduct, Raised Fist, Undying, Boy Sets Fire and many more. Their latest release, "In defence of politics" have been welcomed warmly since its release in October 2002. They have recently signed to the canadian G7 Welcoming Committee label. (Propagandhi, I Spy, Malefaction ect.) and will release a new cd in May 2004.

In der heutigen Zeil sind die Strome der Macht immer undurchschaubarer, desgleidchen wird die Macht diese Strome immer grober; die Regierungen besitzen nicht mehr die Fahigkeit, den politischen Dialog einzuleite wrtreten in das Zeitalter der demokratie der medien ein. Damit wir in dieses homogene interpretationsschema gelangen konnen, mussen wir zum Tagesthema werden um uns in deren Rahmen zu formalisieren, Dieser Rahmen, dem Anschein nach flexibel, ist jedoch dogmatisch. Will man dieses Netzwerk verandem, verliert mansich in der Unendlichkeit. Wir mussen die der sozialen Bewegun neu orienteren. (In dieser Welt konstanter Revolution). Explanations: Today’s society is more and more linked. What a country does can have instant effect on the others money is exchange faster and faster. And it seems like we’re always late and running for more time. Me must be more productive and efficient. In a way, the right wing understood that pretty fast and joined their forces. If it seems that we don’t have any power in front of that, we should understand that we have to change our ways of reacting and head for a global perspective like the one they have. Internet might be wrong sometimes, but we shall use it against them to organise. We created our passivity and this lack of power. There are many options but we just don’t want to see them. This is not the end of history. Wake up and fight! The punk, ska and hardcore scene is passive as well. We must stop this path. Fuck the fashion. We don’t care about the way your hair are or what you wear. Kill this catchy attitude. There are higher values than what in showed in the shows sometimes. We must have fun and grow together. We will beat them together. We might be boring with our political stuff but I am sure that we can build a better world for everybody by doing that.
