Infamous was founded by a group of entrepreneurial High School students in 1998 in Kingston Jamaica. The sound quickly gained a reputation for having the latest dub plates, though their exploits were limited to High School events and other social teen gatherings. Since then the Infamous machine has gone through a number of changes. Today Infamous has become International, spinning the latest tunes in the Dancehall, Hip Hop, Reggae, and Soca genres. Infamous currently defends three headquarters: Washington D.C.; Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; and Kingston, Jamaica. They have defended their international reputation with frequent bookings in all locations, such as their most recent play-outs every Thursday & Saturday at Club 1919 in Washington, D.C., where they have quickly developed a loyal following. DJ Executive and Noah Don (Washington D.C.), DJ Komplex, DJ Lexx (Ft. Lauderdale) and Mr. Grim and Bad Breed and (Kingston) are all talented DJ’s with a passion for the latest remixes and a keen ear for the hottest dubplates and up-and-coming artists. They are also produces, with blazing new riddis such as Cold War and the latest Hotta Sting, featuring new tunes from Idonia, Spotlight, Vito, and In Washington, D.C. Noah Don and DJ Executive are consistent promoters, with events every other Friday at Republic Gardens (1355 U St NW) and Studio 202 (39 New York Ave NW) and H20 nightlcub on Washington D.C. Waterfront.
