Not particularly quiet - a call to arms against oppression. A powerful and memorable song.

Melody-driven guitar pop/rock. Tunes that you won't get out of your head. Quirky.
It's always hard to classify a band, but this combination works well: great tunes, punchy to-the-point songs, fantastic riffs, interesting lyrics and an eclectic range. This is Other Sam. Oh, and LOTS AND LOTS of original material.

Story behind the song
I had this song in my head before I even wrote it. I was in Berlin, at the museum where the Berlin Wall used to be, which is dedicated to the struggle against the oppression of communism. A picture of a self-immolation sparked the idea in me, and I thought, "That's what Quiet Song is about." A week or so later I was on a train on my way to Paris and the chord sequence to "Lay Lady Lay" by Bob Dylan was going through my head. I'd always meant to try to write a song using that sequence; the melody came to me, and I had to hum it from then until my return home a day or so later, just so I wouldn't forget. Andrew's arrangement is brilliant, and I love his solo at the end of this song. - Steve
Lyrics
It's the machine that will end all machines Within the dream that encompasses all other dreams And in the end we will burst through the screen A spray of glass marks our path as we frame the last scene
