Gretsch Country Classic, 12 String Rickenbacker CW 360, Beatle bass, and Sonar. Trying to sound like The Byrds, however as usual------my lyrics suck.
british invasion
John Proctor motivated me to do a Byrds like tune after listening to a very good tune from another artist in Soundclick. I wanted to play the Gretsch like David Crosby did in "We'll Meet Again" in their 1st Album.
Lyrics
She is leaving again
The change is in the wind
She will laugh in my face
Driving with her lies
And she comes back
My lucky charm
The light gets bright again
The limits of my life in her hands
I have crumbled before
Her laughter made me sad
She loved me before
And now she flies away
And she comes back
My lucky charm
The light gets bright again
The limits of my life in her hands
I'd forgotten how much I liked The Byrds. This could almost be them (or is it in fact an out take from one of their early recording sessions ? lol). Very nice 'false ending'; a very clever and typical 60's thing . . .You've captured the sound and vibe of the early Byrds so well. Your voice/lyrics are just perfect. . . Bravo.
