My name is Simon Beck. I play keyboards, bass guitar, double bass, ukulele and a bit of rhythm guitar, although I have been known to dabble with anything from a chromatic harmonica to a Theremin. I very rarely sing, and I can't read music. But music is part of me, and has been for many years.

Story behind the song
I've been wanting to record something like this for a long time, and my new keyboard has an excellent Wurlitzer sound. It was recorded late at night, hence the sound and title. The drums and piano were recorded in one take, and the bass guitar added as an overdub. Note the tribute to "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy" at the end...
