Story behind the song
Hi Yo Silver, Away” is a collaboration with Kathy Wedvik Kathy invited me to record her song “Hi Yo Silver, Away”, because of the “Lone Arranger” alias …lol When I clicked on her version of the song, I must agree, it was a clever song and a perfect fit. I used a very “western” style that I had created to really give the song a Cowboy feel. As I began recording the tune I thought it was a bit too short and added a few more lines and changed the phasing and placement of the “Hi Yo Silver, Away” phrase. I checked with Kathy, to see if she approved of the changes. She likes the sound and I went on to complete the tune as it is now posted.
