Our poppiest song ever, bouncy and jangly, with a rocking chorus.
rock funk music
We make rock with a groove.
THIRD SUMMER are a rock band from the UK. We're heavily influenced by good music, and not influenced at all by bad music. Our first cd is now complete, and all the songs are here for you to play (if you like 'em!). We recorded it live, so what you hear is what you get, warts and all. Feel free to visit our official website, and sign up to the forum, which all 3 of us frequent. Play the music loud and don't forget to put on your best dancing trousers!

Story behind the song
Jamie - " The subject I was trying to explore with this song is an emotionally-damaging event as imagined from two different perspectives. It's not entirely happy but it's not really meant to bring anyone down, because it's got some positive stuff going on too. As for the music, it's sounds a bit like Dead In The Water. It's accessible, and it has a groove, but it's got enough rock in there to wake you up. When we play, we want to see people moving about in a vaguely rhythmic fashion. No, not like that. Although it could lead to that, if you're lucky. " Martin - " This song was born from a bass line Jamie played in rehearsal. I added the funky guitars over the top of the verse, and for the life of me I can't remember how the heavier chorus came about? This is one of my favourites to play, because it has a light marshmallow of a verse, with a chunky brick of a chorus. The only downside for me is that I have to be spot on with the patch changes ! " Paul - " I just love the bouncy feeling of this song, then we discovered a way to switch to the heavier sound on the chorus and I think its works well. Bouncy drum track heavily influenced by Led Zeps "Fool in the rain." the rest is me! "
