Story behind the song
My sister Meghan came up to me one day and was complaining that she couldn't figure out anything good to get for her boyfriend for christmas, and asked if I'd help her write a song for him. So I came up with a chord progression, and she wrote the lyrics and a little mandolin part to go with it, and she sang on it too!

I'm better than I was before, and I know why, I fall asleep to thoughts of waking up so I can feel the way I do, for another day. I never expected this, to come my way. And I'm seeing everything in a new light. Things that used to scare me, make me feel alive.
