Story behind the song
The idea of God being here before the Fall - and being here after the Rising - is powerfully intriguing.
Lyrics
(SOME SAY) WHAT DOES GOD LOOK LIKE TODAY? Some say He’s the vengeful kind; Gonna sneak up from behind. Lay you low with a single blow; Gonna strangle up your mind. I can’t even find A single soul Who knows What God looks like today. What God looks like today. Some say He was here before the Fall, And He’ll be here after the Rising. They call Him the Great All in All, So that shouldn’t be so surprising. Some say He’s a magic Father; Gonna do some Abba – cadabra. Gotta million aces up His sleeve - Full-scale and elaborate. I can’t even find A single soul Who knows What God looks like today. What God looks like today. Some say He was here before the Fall, And He’ll be here after the Rising. They call Him the Great All in All, So that shouldn’t be so surprising. Some say they’d like to see Him dead; Gonna put a price upon His Head. Take His Life as a sacrifice; Gonna get their own daily bread. I can’t even find A single soul Who knows What God looks like today. What God looks like today. Some say He was here before the Fall, And He’ll be here after the Rising. They call Him the Great All in All, So that shouldn’t be so surprising. Copyright © 2004 Lex Zaleta
