This is Dre in his living room one sunny afternoon with an acoustic, a 4-track, a crappy mic and a tranquility fountain. Recorded just for fun. Not a serious take. - Highest charts position in subgenre: # 5 (Acoustic Guitar)

Classic and grunge influenced hard rock mixed with a little blues, southern rock, psychedelia, classic rock and metal.
Greetings, Welcome to "SOUL DUST". Soul Dust are a four piece rock band with diverse musical influences and backgrounds. They have the common belief that music should be played from the depths of your soul and that sticking to any one style is depriving you of a wealth of musical knowledge, experience and enjoyment. They are of the opinion that music is therapy for the soul. They blend different genres and are heavily influenced by the 70's and 90's music eras. They are without a doubt a guitar rock band, blending rock, blues, grunge, jazz, psychedelic and southern styles to create music that projects who they are. The main driving forces in Soul Dust are the dual attack on your senses from guitarist Andre (Dre) Bourget's raw, catchy riffs and intense lyrics, coupled with singer Myk Shaflik's passionate and emotional vocal performances, come together to light up every track and pull you into the song's mood and lyrics. Hilton Hartwell and Ron Twemlow are the powerhouse rhythm section that drive the music with authority and grace. The dynamics and massive energy these four rock veterans deliver will assail you and leave you wanting more. We welcome you to our page and appreciate your support. Streaming is always free, and for a limited time, all downloads of the tracks from Soul Dust's debut album 'Home Sweet Home' found here on this site are free!

Story behind the song
I was sitting in my living room on a sunny summer afternoon with my acoustic guitar, a four track, a sh*tty microphone and a tranquility fountain next to me. Next thing I knew, I was recording the tranquility fountain at close range with the crappy mic. It kinda sounds like I might be taking a whiz, but it's intended to sound like a babbling brook. Hey! I was trying to be creative! What can I say? I recorded about 4 minutes of that and then laid a couple of quick acoustic tracks over it. The result was this! Not a great recording, but I think it's really quite a nice little tune and has a "raw", natural feel to it. Thought I'd share! -Dre
