Story behind the song
I've not recorded an original song for a while so get back into it with this . A song about motivating yourself to keep going.
Lyrics
Alarm bells ringing, you have to take heed The clock is ticking, get up to speed No time to delay, don't fade away The mist of life is fogging your brain your body's waning ,don't give into pain Start pushing on through, that's what you must do Keep the fires burning bright, it's the light to your soul Let the sparkle in your eyes never ever stall (never ever stall) Gotta keep on rollin' on, like a train flashing by Gotta keep on keeping on, never let the fight die Goota keep on rollin' on,'til the end of the line Gotta keep on keeping on, don't waste precious time Ignore the voices inside your head They're gonna whisper , you're better off dead Don't take the bait, It's never too late Keep the fires burning bright, It's the light to your soul Let the sparkle in your eyes, never ever stall (never ever stall) Gotta keep on rollin' on 'til the end of the line Gotta keep on keeping on , don't waste precious time Gotta keep on rolling on, It's all in the mind Gotta keep on keeping on, It's peace that you'll find guitar break Keep the fires burning bright, It's the light to your soul Let the sparkle in your eyes never ever stall (never evere stall ) Gotta keep on rollin'on, 'til the end of the line Gotta keep on keeping , don't waste preciuos time Gotta keep on rollin' on, It's all in the mind Gotta keep on keeping on. It's peace that you'll find Goota keep on rollin on , keep rolling on Gott keep on rollin' on , just keep rollin on.

Well the wait was certainly worth it Steve. What can i say but just STUNNING. As good as any named pro can do and in lots of ways BETTER...WAY BETTER. The production is amazing. The writing of the highest. Wow...just wow!

Wow ... what a professional sounding production. Right from the first notes of the interesting intro and into the fabulously melodic verse and memorable chorus. The guitar parts weaving in and out throughout. A brilliant arrangement where everything is placed and mixed so well. Again ... wow.

man, this was worth the wait and I'm hearing Gerry Rafferty vibes big time, what a great piece of original music here, guitar's bang on but everything is, vocals, lyrics, mix/production - this extremely well crafted og could sit very comfortably on an Lp like 'city to city', it's as good as any song on that suite of brilliance!

I like this. What a message geezer rock. I’m working on a similar theme. Your guitar work is always a special treat. Good rocker reminds me of Bon Jovi a little bit. Good vocals and harmonies.

Tantalising intro, draws the listener in immediately. It then launches into a fantastic upbeat song with really great positive vibes. Love the guitar work, superb lead vocals & spot on harmonies. Bass & drums sound first class too. Excellent production & a memorable hook. Brilliant job.
