This ballad is dedicated to the late Margie Wilson

Dispatching  messages of joy and tears.
Replaced finally throughout the nation
By cell phones and sundry automation.

With voices much pleasing to your ears,
These gentle souls without hesitation
Linked you to your party at all frontiers,
Giving time and local information,
In pleasant local accent coloration.
