This is my improvisation (with some over-dubs) to a melodic C major chord sequence backing track by the brilliant Jack Thammarat.

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
Sometimes it's a lot of fun to improvise over existing backing tracks. This simple chord sequence in C major is a prime example. Every time you play over this kind of a backing track you come up with something slightly different to the previous time. So I've 'set into stone', just one particular improvisation, and then added a few harmony over dubs. I used my Yamaha Pacifica 612V on this recording.

with Keith here David, the guitar is so well done, nice tone for sure and bits of it have that local hero feel - it's uplifting and melodious! great playing mate!

Beautiful tone on your guitar David. Sounding great. Bet you had fun doing this and it shows too. Excellent improv over a cool backer. Really enjoyed this.
