Story behind the song
Bruce Springsteen has so many songs about leaving, driving away, the road as a means of escape. Basically this song is about someone, who, when faced with the choice, decides not to live a Bruce Springsteen song. It all started with the opening two lines I'd written - the whole song proceeded as a dialog. -Kai Samuelsen
