This is my take on a fabulous instrumental recorded by Bill Nelson in 1982. His current album at that point in time was, 'The Love That Whirls' (Diary of a Thinking Heart).

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
This has long been one of my (many) favourites by Bill...There's maybe a hint of one of his own favourite guitarists in this... Hank Marvin...although dear old Hank never got such an overdriven tone on his Strat! I used my Yamaha Pacifica 612V on this recording. I've stayed close to Bill's original arrangement here...no flights of fancy into Major Snaggland. Hope you all dig this great tune.

We'll I don't know the original, but this tune is a belter! Love all the amazing tones you get out of your rig, and cool trem work too. Particularly liked those speedy ascending runs as well. All round cool tune!

Now THAT'S a tune, such a treat to hear Bill Nelson's work STILL being recorded (and rightly so!). Killer work in every way, aptly titled, amazing stuff. Really nice playing, quick, jazzy, fun.....too cool for school! And as always bass with depth and guitar tone to die for, great choice, super job!

Oh yeah, memories and good ones and you've done a super fanstastic job on this cover of Bill Nelson's song. That whole "Flaming Desire / The Passion / The Burning Question" series was one of my favorites of his and you do it justice really well, David!
