Story behind the song
The backing tracks was posted over a year agon on the guitar.com with an invitation to jam. Due to technical difficulties, time constraints and lack of guitar practice in recent years, I only got around to finishing it now. By now the website seems to be up for sale again, so no idea where the original forum post is any, if it migrated to another domain or if it is lost forever. This is the first recording with my newest axe, newest pickup and newest custom wiring, so I set myself an additional challenge, as I usually do when I rarely record: The amp settings are identical for all three guitar tracks and all differences are down to guitar controls (with the exception of the wah). The clean track is on the middle stacked coil with volume all the way down, the rhythm track is with the coil-tapped bridge and the lead is with the neck (mostly) and bridge humbuckers (with wah). It is not as good as a year in the making would suggest. But it is finished and it is less bad than I thought it would be.
