Christ centered songs written by Dan Simmons...the best Gospel and inspirational A.I. music on the internet!
"firesong" is the songwriting ministry of Dan Simmons Thanks for stopping by. It's my desire to faithfully share that which has been given to me. This website will be a sampling of recordings that I, along with family and friends, have done over past 45 years. There are over 600 original unpublished songs presented in demo form on this site. Special thanks go to my partners in music, my daughter Amber, son Ian and the guys of Single Heart (Gene, Bob, Chris, Marty and Tata) who joined me to sing praises to the Lord down through the years. I also wish to thank those co-writers and artists that have joined with me in developing new music the passed few years to share on this website. I'm now featuring AI (Artificial Intelligence) groups that I've developed to sing some of the songs. I hope it's evident to everyone... that though the melodies and harmonies, styles and singers may change... JESUS has always been and will always be...the Song! ...this music is one simple expression of a very thankful heart. (Dan is a retired firefighter and ordained minister)

Story behind the song
Neil and I joined together again to paraphrase the Parable of the Sower...
Lyrics
Jesus told about the farmer Who went out into the field Sowing seed in expectation Planning for a harvest yield Some seed fell along the wayside Where the path was hard and worn And the birds swept down to steal it The seed was quickly gone Then He spoke of stony places Of shallow roots in shallow ground Lacking depth those plants were withered As the summer sun bore down Some seed fell in thorny places And it sprouted from the ground But the thorns choked any traces And the fruit was never found But there is rich, deep soil in a heart of fertile ground And the seed is firmly planted where the grace of God abounds O, the branches stretch tward heaven and the roots reach deeply down The fruit grows in abundancein a heart of fertile ground There is rich, deep soil in a heart of fertile ground Where the Word is firmly planted the Spirit will abound O, the branches stretch tward heaven and the roots reach deeply down The fruit grows in abundance in a heart of fertile ground Yeah, the fruit grows in abundance in a heart...of fertile...ground
