DESCENDANTS OF ASAPH Asaph was the first and chief musician in the early days before the temple was built in Jerusalem. By all accounts (1Chron 16v5) he was a percussionist and drummer and together with Heman and Jeduthun formed the first worship band to accompany the choir in praise and worship of God He wrote a number of psalm lyrics under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. His lyrics are very down to earth and he likes to say things exactly as they are! 'Descendants of Asaph' follow in his tradition and is a virtual band dedicated to making music and song unto the Lord and presenting His challenge to the world today through parables in music. Lyrics
WHO SHALL SEPARATE US? Who shall separate us from the love of God in Christ? Who shall separate us from the love of God revealed in Christ? Shall tribulation, grief or anguish Persecution by the sword? Pain of hunger, the risk of danger Threats of death or blood outpoured? For I'm persuaded, we'll more than conquer And stand triumphant through His love For neither angels, nor powers of darkness Things present, past or yet to come Can ever separate us from The love of God in Christ The love of God in Christ
