Story behind the song
Tempo: 90 BPM…Beginning Key: D min. This track is pretty basic in chord structure (The Rhodes) and rhythm (Synth Bass) given way to the solo which expresses my gratitude in some small measure. I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought; and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder. Thanks friends.

I have always been a BIG fan of the Wurlitzer! Such a great sound on your opening here, and climbing sky high with your Sax solo! Absolutely excellent work on this! Easy to commentate on a piece like this just close the eyes and describe the emotions coming from those instruments! Love that riff at the end...!
Top of your game cuz sweet !

I hear so much joy in this one from the beginning on. So very smooth and relaxed. And your sax........ feels like flying around, flying to heaven. Yes, you are 10 years joining SoundClick, congratulations, and thanks so very much for sharing your inspirations to the whole world. And now I understand as well why you are 10 years old, according to your page. We should believe that you were just born when you started on SC? I think you are a very little bit older, but that doesn't matter at all. And when I talk about your 10 years of SoundClick, this is the place as well to thank you for your support and enthusiasm, in lots of genres. And of course for supporting me. Let me wish we can just continue the way we do. Your song is just expressing the things I just said, expressing 10 years of SoundClick. Nice one, again, my friend.

Masterfully done my friend... I'm running out of things to say! LOL Each tune you come out with reveals your ability to do awesome work consistently. Always impressed by your pieces. They have class, artistic value and that passion for music that seems to be lost in some many musicians. The strive to be better is something you show tune after tune. Our good friend Cornel asked, "Can Al make a bad tune?"...LOL I don't think so.. :)

So cool how this giant of a song grows from that little acorn of a lick! When the sax comes in, the tune just blossoms. Great synths and as always, pro production. Loved it!

Beautyful downbeat Warren Hill style-playing that hits you softspot once again! The expression and feel in play is beyond words. Second time I hear you on a downbeat - first with Spin's great tune and now this one - you should def. do more of this stuff! Gordious sax my friend!

Thank you Al for your wonderful music, your friendship and support, for welcoming me to SC and for the resulting SC friends. "Gratitude" is beautiful and is heartfelt. A 'simple piece', maybe for you, but oh to play and produce music like that! The sax is such a great instrument and your mastery of it and all the instruments you play is awesome! Congrats Master of Music!
Sure it could be used as a backer, by why mess with perfection? Works as is - a cool ride, contemplative, serene, with enough energy and changes to keep it fresh.

Like the Rhodes chimey sounds at the intro and the synth lines along with your soulful tenor saxophone it all adds up to a great sounding track & superb mix also.
