If it's hot then give God the glory. If it's not then blame me
If it's hot then give God the glory. If it's not then blame Mitch.
I'm Joe Johnson a local United Methodist Pastor. Before I felt God calling me into the ministry I thought I was going to be a rap artist. For 8 years I did nothing with music until my wife introduced me to a group called "The Gospel Gansters" in 1998. It was an eye opening experience. I was amazed to see people using rap for the glory of God. That day I picked up paper and pen and I haven't put it down yet.
Lyrics
Don’t Know Bout You
Don’t know about you, what you came to do
But I’ll tell you what I’m here for, I’m here to PRAISE THE LORD
Whatever my circumstance,) I’m a raise my hands (amen)
Praise Him with every chance PRAISE THE LORD
Don’t know about you, what you came to do
But I’ll tell you what I’m here for, I’m here to PRAISE THE LORD
So I’m a jump and shout, worship him without a doubt
Wont let the rocks cry out PRAISE THE LORD
I’m just a fisher of man, and man I’ve been fishing
Bring em them, ones that’s missing (Praise the Lord)
Took me awhile to learn this, I was made to worship
and I know that’s my purpose (Praise the Lord)
I swear I’m fun, praising the Holy One
unTill my job is done (Praise the Lord)
I’m thankful that I’m living, for the gifts I’ve been given
to know that I’m forgiven (Praise the Lord)
and What a privilege, to that I have to live this
and All the glory is his is (Praise the Lord)
see I’m not a rapper only, this just a testimony
I’m glorifying Jesus only (Praise the Lord)
I aint here to rap with ease aint here to sell Cd’s,
I’m praying on my knees (Praise the Lord)
Aint here to have a party, aint here to rock your body
I’m trying to save somebody (Praise the Lord)
Aint try to show my skill, aint trying to make a deal
I’m praise Christ, for real. (Praise the Lord)
Aint here to find fame, blow up in this rap game
I’m here to praise His name (Praise the Lord)
Aint here for the applause, to hear the owws and awws
I serve a higher cause (Praise the Lord)
Aint here to put on a show, get on the mic and flow
I hope you’ll know I’m here to (Praise the Lord)
We need to Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power; And surpassing greatness
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the clash of cymbals
Let everything that has breath (ladies and gentlemen) Praise the Lord
Don’t know about you, what you came to do
But I’ll tell you what I’m here for, I’m here to PRAISE THE LORD
Whatever my circumstance,) I’m a raise my hands (amen)
Praise Him with every chance PRAISE THE LORD
