Another acoustic based song with a lot more lead and electrics with a solo to die for.
Christian alternative. Our singer sounds a lot like Mac Powell from Third Day and the singer from Kutless.
Hey guys, things are changing. The band has evolved into a totally different band. We have a new song and name and it will be posted later next week when completed. I'll post a link on here to the new site.
Story behind the song
One day I was messing with this new tuning I had come up with. I started writing a song about suicide from the chords. Well I figured out it was starting to suck, so I pitched it. I sat down again to start writing and the words just came to me. The entire song was written in 20 minutes.
I had to go to my high school football game that night, because I played lead trumpet for the band. When I got there I told my best friend that I had written the best song in the world. He didn't believe me. Then I played the song for him. He loved it. He was a beginner at the guitar, but he loved it so much he wanted me to teach it to him. So I did.
Later that year I started a band called Sphere. You may have heard of them. Sphere has some songs on this site. A song that we were all proud of called "Hey There" is still making a nice run in the charts. The very first song we recorded as Sphere was a song called "I'll Find You." We put the song on this site, but deleted it as soon as I wrote "Hey There." I was going to drop that song when Sphere broke up and I formed d.l.o.c.
We'll remember that friend that I told you about at the begining of the story? Well if it wasn't for him this song would have never been rewritten or re-recorded as d.l.o.c. It took his influence to make me decide that "I'll Find You" was well worthy of a new sound and new recording.
It is now one of my favorite songs that I have ever written. It now holds a place as dear to me as "Hey There" does. Give it a listen and you'll see why.
Oh yeah, I used my Gibson Les Paul to play lead on the song. HAHA.
Lyrics
I’ll Find You
(Terrence Geno)
Verse 1:
When the morning comes, I look out my window, to see if I can see you somewhere, and then, I lose my mind and feel I can go nowhere.
Chorus:
And how many days and ways, and how many things at stake, I’ll find you, I’ll find you. And how many years and hours will disappear, until I find you, somewhere.
Verse 2:
And the day turns into night, and I’m here waiting for you, then a swarm of troops steal my soul, Lord it’s begging for, it’s begging for you, yeah and I know.
Chorus:
And how many days and ways, and how many things at stake, I’ll find you, I’ll find you. And how many years and hours will disappear, until I find you, somewhere.
Bridge:
Through the stormy nights, through the stormy days, through the stormy ways, I know you’re there somewhere.
Through the stormy nights, through the stormy days, through the stormy ways, I know you’re there somewhere.
Chorus:
And how many days and ways, and how many things at stake, I’ll find you, I’ll find you. And how many years and hours will disappear, until I find you, somewhere.
Outro: I’ll find you, I’ll find you, somewhere, Lord I’ll find you.
