One email, two emails, three emails, four
each better than none, and I cannot ask more -

One email, she's sad, feeling down, depressed;
just telling me not to be too concerned or stressed;

Two emails and she has something important to say -
somebody, somewhere, is in disarray;

Three emails and she is thinking out loud,
kind of rambling, floating, her head in a cloud;

Four emails? Well, that is a great big smile!
Hardly enough for her to collect and compile
all the wonderful feelings she's had for a while
just bursting to get out, now expressed in fine style -

and she stops at four, any more and we'd miss
them all ending with imaginary hugs and a kiss -
not a closet kiss, mind you, but in a mutual way
composed of fireworks, stars, and bouquets...
