Cornelius Gamble is 1 out of a family of 6 siblings. He is a 23 year old Christian hip-hop artist deriving from Fort Pierce, Florida. Raised in the church, he has never been a stranger to Christianity. He began playing the drums around the age of 12. After discovering his love of music he started to write songs and poetry as a means to deal with pain and express his feelings. Although he was raised in the church, personal struggles and over exposure sometimes got in between him and his relationship with Christ. He knew that he wanted to do the right thing but he constantly felt that he was fighting a battle against himself. Straying further away from God he decided that he would do things his way.
In 2008, through a variety of connections, he began to pursue a career in hip-hop. He recorded a demo and received a lot of positive feedback. Feeling that he was pursuing his passion he gave it all that he had, spending countless hours writing and recording his songs.
Shortly after he began to realize he missed his relationship with God. He had chased fame, money, and women instead of chasing after Christ his whole life. He began to feel a strong level of conviction for the lifestyle he was living and the music that he was putting out. He turned to God, wanting to become a better person. He stopped writing and recording music altogether.
He focused all of his time on getting to know Christ, rebuilding his marriage, and his career. Missing his love of music he decided to write gospel hip-hop songs. It was then he had the epiphany that instead of sitting on the talent that he had he could use it for God's glory and God's glory only. After recieving words of encouragement from his wife and his brother he decided that he would bring gospel hip-hop music mainstream.
Cornelius now resides in Tampa, Florida with his wonderful wife and his three beautiful daughters. He is currently serving in the USMC. He has been quoted saying, " All I want to do is spread God's message. Growing up I thought that it wasn't cool to be a young Christian. I was led to believe that I had to spend countless hours in church, dress a certain way, and completely lose who I was. Now I know that is not true and I just want others to know the same thing."
