David is a singer/songwriter/musician that writes all the songs himself. He plays multiple instruments and records and produces his own CD's. Many of his songs are from real life experiences and events that have affected his life. He documents these events and feelings in his songs for everyone to enjoy. David is always looking for new talent and musicians to jam with and is presently forming a new band in the Rhode Island area. This band will be recording live content for production on DVD and CD in the New England area. David's favorite guitars is his two PRS guitars and his Les Paul. He has been influenced by Stevie Ray Vaughan, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, Styx, James Taylor, Jimmy Buffet, Eagles, Pink Floyd, Areosmith, America, and The Beatles to name a few. He loves to play music and plans to schedule more live appearances in the future. He lives to play music. David has dedicated songs to the events of the decade. You can hear these dedications in "Proud To Be American","IF I", "In My Arms", "Change The World", "No Clouds" and "Perfect Blue". The song " We Will Remember You" is in memory of the people that were lost in the tragic Station Nightclub fire on 02/20/03 in West Warwick RI and is dedicated to the families and friends. Now that his music can be heard from anywhere in the world he plans to expand the Internet Web site so more people can enjoy his talent and music. A lot of people can relate to David because they live similar lives and do similar things. Many of his songs are written while boating on Naragansett bay during the summer months or while on vacation at a warm sandy beach during the winter. Story behind the song
This song was written about a Marine that was just killed on Monday April 5th while serving his country near Fallujah, Iraq. He was on his second tour of duty there and loved what he was doing. He grew up on the same street as I did. He was just a little kid when I moved away but I can still remember him playing street hockey at the end of the street. His family had remained very good friends with my family over the years. He was only 21 years old when he died. His family was very proud of his service to his country. This song is dedicated to Lance Cpl. Matthew K. Serio and all the other men and women of all the armed forces who have made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting this great countries freedoms. Their dedication to protect this country makes them heros and makes me proud to be American. Lets hope we get the troops out of Iraq soon. David Briel will donate $2.00 for each copy sold of his cd "Change The World" to "Veterans Of Foreign Wars" www.vfw.org to help military families in need. Please visit http://www.musicfortroops.com/ to help give our troops free music.
