After recording a bunch of scratch tracks in my home studio I decided in 2010 to achieve a lifelong dream of making a CD of my own music. Story behind the song
This song is about a guy who lives in his garage with about $100,000 of music equipment. True story!
Lyrics
Out of his comfort zone He snaps back criticizing What he’ll never know It’s always been this way No reason to change now The best comes from the tortured souls Like a frog in a well he looks up to see A hole in the sky, wonders what it could be As darkness falls the world moves away Trade the hope of tomorrow for the safety of today Next time will be different As long as I am in control Nothing can go wrong Why can’t they all see it my way It’s so much easier to follow Than to never really belong Like a frog in a well he looks up to see A hole in the sky, wonders what it could be As darkness falls the world moves away Trade the hope of tomorrow for the safety of today Cycling through his life They all seem the same None better than the ones before Never looking outside Restricted to the structure The world behind the door Like a frog in a well he looks up to see A hole in the sky, wonders what it could be As darkness falls the world moves away Trade the hope of tomorrow for the safety of today
