A jack of all trades band that went from experimental to noise to synthpop to industrial and back again.
Palecurve was originally formed in 1997 as a side-project to my main band at the time, New Logic Theory. With NLT's demise, Palecurve became my full-time focus, and I released a small demo CD, called "Solaris Centuri". Following a year break, I restarted in 1999 and began writing the songs that would become my debut album, "Don't Tell Her Everything". A small bit of success followed that, as various goth groups in several states loved the songs and I managed to sell a good amount of copies through the now-defunct mp3.com. Following that, a long, long stretch of time off was in order, as life needed to be sorted out, and various projects here and there were handled - some remixes, assisting some local bands, et cetera. Eventually I sat down and began writing songs - for nothing in particular, just to write, and get some demos out there. Fast forward to 2006 - I re-released "Don't Tell Her Everything" for the 5 year anniversary, in addition to the first volume of my score work, for the short film "Fit To Be Admired" by Michelle Cantor. Work also began on refining tracks for my second album, "Failure Of The Week", and its accompanying EP, "My Last Will And Testament". Now, in 2007, work still continues on those two albums, and the EP should be released sometime before the start of the summer, followed by a mid-2007 tour in the Philadelphia/New Jersey/New York area to support the EP and "Failure Of The Week", which should be released sometime in September. The first single from FOTW, "The Thin Line", will be out mid-summer. Currently, the band really just consists of one person - Patrick Burns, who handles all the writing, recording, instruments, programming and production - but recently, Mark Herberksman (sometimes referred to as tronix) has joined the team as a co-producer and somewhat official band member. Unofficial members, but valuable assets to the band are Addison Godel and Rodrigo Llauro, who have provided keys, guitar work, programming and vocals in the past, and hopefully in the future. The live band, at the moment, is undecided. I'm looking for people willing to commit their time to playing a handful of shows in this area. If you can, please contact me at palecurve at yahoo dot com, or at the phone number on the page.
