A gentle love song of sorts mixed in with a realisation that all good things come to an end. Lots of guitar interest in this one.
regret good times lost love longing

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
A gentle tribute to an almost lost kind of rock song. An interesting chord sequence started things going. Everything fell into place very quickly. A song of love and loss, regret for times that once were and that will never be again. Gigs done and the things that happened ... or nearly happened!. Also of course it's superficially about a favourite band of mine for many years. Oh, you all know don't you. Oh, you know me...all the usual things that I often write songs about...
Lyrics
Invisibles (Eyes Across The Room) David A Briggs (c) 2023 It's over, yes it's over, we all lived through those Be Bop days. The sky turned red and golden, guitars calling and the sky shedding tears. Everyone, gets a little older, gets a little slower and eyes grow dim. Memories, clouded by nostalgia, I wish I'd had the sense to write it all down. but someday, someday, ...these days, I do it again in my dreams. Her presence, her fragrant presence, it filled the room with the promise of things to come. and back-stage, in the shadows, desire was deep ... and fulfilled. but someday, someday, ...these days, I do it again in my dreams. The river, kept on flowing, the rain became the element of our love. guitar solo later, much later, we became invisible to all who stared fade-out ... later much later, we became invisible to all who stared

Maybe I mixed this one just a touch 'hot'. Oh well, it will have to stay how it is now.

Sounds like a Rickenbacker intro then a humbucker sound. Lots of nice twists, turns and textures.

The intro is a lure that can't be resisted, evolves nicely into a smooth ride with great vocals and guitar melodies.

This is very nice, 'like that ringing guitar at the start, lovely tone on the solo guitar as well. As usual for you this is vintage British music with a bit of modern twist, cool! 'Enjoyed that, thanks :)

If any of you are wondering...I used my Yamaha Revstar 420 through a Line 6 Pod Go on this recording.

Did you mean not to make this downloadable? It's bloody great. Don't starve the world! Make it Free!! This is your old pal Jesus speakin'. FREEE! These two new records, they're a whole new level. They're so good, I am now as we speak, in Studio, making a new record, entirely influenced by your smashing new direction. You've basically reinvented Psychedelic Rock. Bloody Brilliant!
