Trash-pop, guitar rock and melodic miscellany. Not so much a band as a bloke with a guitar and a laptop, The Smivets deliver a genre-bending blend of pop, rock, punk, prog and many other monosyllables.

Refrag is a mix of sounds and music styles, with a classical influence, a kind or alternative, ambient, crossover with Guitars and sub bass mixed sampled The official bio notes for refrag available at various Independent Music sites read like absurdist short stories. Some of the band members are murdered during a Salvation Army charismas party. Additional band members are incarcerated for unethical scientific studies with insects and fruit. Triangular songs of unrequited lust on gatling-gun fingerstyle acoustic guitar... Dave Keir picked up the guitar at a very early age - too early, in fact, to learn any extant songs or tunes so he became accustomed to picking out his own tunes from the very start. The habit become so deeply and irrevocably ingrained that even a concentrated effort to mend his ways during an interregum in the 80s and 90s had little effect - a relapse was always just around the corner. Dave's pedigree includes...

Hi! I'm a guitarist, singer and songwriter currently living in Fredericton, N.B., Canada. I've been performing music in one way or another since the mid '60's, starting out singing tenor in a barbershop quartet with my brothers and then into a progression of bands playing rock, jazz, blues and country and... whatever. It's been a fun ride so far and I'm still as exited about it as the day I began. Ralph Atkinson

Harmonic acoustic folk rock, songs with some thing to say and multi instrumental backings! Hi David Pendragon here, I have been a musician, recording engineer and producer for nearly 30 yrs. In that time my music has covered a lot of ground, I started with an acoustic guitar playing Crosby Stills, Jethro Tull kinda stuff and some of those influences continue in my present work. I have played all kinds of stuff from orchestral arrangements to metal, techno, almost anything except brass band!!

Michael Hughes, Auburn, Maine. Original acoustic & electric music. I worked as a musician for about ten years after I finished my BA in English lit, which didn't sound nearly as interesting at the time as playing music. After an enjoyable but wasted youth of bands, solo & studio work, ten thousand nights in clubs & lots of touring, three albums with David Mallett, and a few years as a music journalist and free lance editor, I saw the writing on the wall. I said goodbye to all that & began tea...
