Hi, I'm 24 years old and first started trying to write songs when I was 12, but was never much good at it.
My English teacher when I was 16 had us write a poem and I've fell in love with it. My first poem was a sonnet. From there I've began to test myself again by trying to write songs again with some encouragement by friends. I've tried writing for a band, but was never given the chance to collaborate with them for insight.
The only thing that stopped me from writing was writers block and I didn't know what to do.
I soon found myself falling off and began working on story plots for a novel series instead.
Since then it's been on & off..., but recently I've started writing again to get things off my chest.
I've showed someone some of my bars wasn't much, but they wanted me to ghost write for them.
Which I declined because it's something personal they won't understand, but they tried teaching how to rap over a beat. And from there I've been harnessing my own style since & here I am.
I've been writing for a year almost constantly and I've have lots to catch up on and lots to learn, but with the knowledge I have now today. I'm going back to my roots where it all started by updating my earliest works to try and release my first album. I have a moral code not to reduce myself to the very low standards of the industry right now.
I'm also interested in making connections & possibly doing collaborate with the right people as a team.
One thing I'd like to say I try to be versatile with different styles and using all my influences to inspire me to make my own personal sound.
