Taj Xavier Thompson “Maestro Taj”, Born in Brooklyn, NY raised in Baltimore, MD on December 17th, 1991. He was originally name “Killer-T” at age 8 and ran with it since 2012. He called himself Killer-T because he believes all the music that he recorded and wrote were tracks he killed and his name begins with a T. In 2013, He changed his name to “Maestro Taj” because he wanted to become himself and the type of music he was making didn’t match his old rapper name. Maestro Taj has featured with artists like Spliff-T, J5, Y.King, J.Black and many more artists. According to his music, he talks about reality and things in his daily life. His personality shows on his music as well. Also, he does all types of music such as: club, hip hop, R&B and house. He is an original member of “Simply Brilliant (SB)”. Maestro Taj is a humble artist that is willing to work with any other artist who are upcoming or in the industry. In addition, he makes beats and dj for the group.
