A Vocalist extraordinaire! This young man is more than a triple threat. He surpasses most artists today because of his ability to become the character in his songs. Giavonni cannot be compared to anyone, partially because those that he has been inspired by range from Young Jeezy, Bone Thugs, to T.I.P. Artists such as B.G to Biggie and 2pac have been an inspiration to him, but his style is his very own. He simply loves the art of rapping, producing an making beats. Born in Griffin, GA and raised on the streets of Charlotte, NC. Living with his mother, farther an brother on the west side of town Vonni first started singing at the age of six. But growing up wasn’t all that great for him. He begin hanging with the older people on the block. Getting into trouble hanging out late. He then moved back to Georgia this time to Atlanta with his uncle. There he hooked up with an older cousin who was also in the streets. His cousin than introduce Vonni to a gang called The Eight Tray Gangsta Crips. At the age nine he learned a lot and did a lot. Selling drugs, carrying guns, robbing and stealing. Getting in trouble with the law his mom quickly moved him back to Charlotte. In years to come Vonni stayed true to the streets. Learning about his cousin being killed than later on his grandmother who he was so connected with Giavonni tried to commit suicide at the age 13 by cutting his writes. Few weeks in the State Psychiatric Hospital kind of helped him out. Now linking up with a couple friends that did rapped Vonni then begin a new path. Making beats was his thing he started that at the age of 15. They formed a group called Queen City G’z AKA QCG. Not long after that Vonni longtime friend Carlos moved back to charlotte also. Round that time Vonni’s mother and father was struggling with bills “Seeing My Mother Cry Is the Hardest Thing to Do”. Vonni quickly ran back to the street’s joining him was his sidekick Carlos. Robbery’s than beganed all over charlotte. The two robbed just about any business they could. The success of robbing and selling weed over took his mind. But ended quickly in the winter of 2004. The two was caught at their home snitched on by one there friends Vonni and Carlos went down ending up doing 3 and a half years each. 2007 Vonni was freed. Since then he got on with his life, starting a group called Afficial Gorilla Posse. Alongside his cousin’s D-Money & Tony T, the trio has been going strong. Losing his cousin dreek in 2008 was a devastating year for Vonni. But also a motivation to go harder on his music career. The group has been in all kinds of competitions and doing local show’s on the radio station’s and helping out the the kids around town. With all the things Vonni has been thru after been shot over eight times stab and the family and friends lost courtroom visit he is still standing and keeping his head together. Stay tuned in to him and his group because there is more to come This will be the next big thing to ever hit the music industry believe me when I say this. "With God, all things are Possible. And I believe as long as I stay true to myself, continue to love my family, tithe at my church and remain humble, I’m good, because I know from whom my blessings come from.
