WTMG is an American hip hop band stationed on the Northside of St. Louis MO, Embracing the name Water Tower Music Group from a local monument that stands in the middle of their old neighborhood on N 20th St & Grand Blvd."The Old White Water Tower".
The group consist of three members, (St. Loc, Ghetto & Sokiie). Though the trio work well as a group, they all bring to the table their own individual artistry. Exellent songwriting abilities and three different ways to tell the same story. They have spent more than a decade in St. Louis' undergroud hip hop circuit.
Ghetto, who initially started in the mid 90s, under the wing of his older brother "Humm Bugg", with a group called Ther Row Camp aka Felony Lane, is probably the most experienced out of the bunch. He was later on the roster of VIP Records with label mates like Chocolate Tai & King Jacob (Derrty Ent), along with fellow member from Ther Row Camp, "No Slacs". He left VIP after No Slacs was shot and paralyzed. He reached out to an old friend that was still with Felony Lane named Sokiie. They got together and formed So Ghetto Ent. They called it quits when "No Slacs" died due to complications from his paralysis. St. Loc, came into the picture a few years later with a vision of using the Water Tower as the focal point to a new movement. St. Loc reached out to Sokiie & Ghetto to form Water Tower Music Group. With not much experience as his companions, St. Loc brought his own songwriting abilities, desire and belief.
