Born in New Ulm MN. and raise on his Grandpas folk music. Frank Prenevost started playing the banjo and guitar at age 16. Hooked on folk and bluegrass music he quickly added the mandolin, fiddle, harmonica and bass guitar. In 1991 Frank and his brother Brien formed the country music duo The Truesdells. In 1995 The Truesdells released “Dancin in the Country” Frank wrote all but two of the songs, selling nearly 3000 copies. The Truesdells opened for Merle Haggard, Toby Keith, Charlie Daniels and The Kentucky Headhunters, performing in Branson, MO. and Nashville, TN. The Midwest CMA named The Truesdells Duo of the year and Frank male vocalist of the year. Working with several UK songwriters he soon discovered the need of a quickly growing country music market in the UK. Getting his first UK cut with German country artist Mark Bender. Frank wrote and produced his first folk/bluegrass cd in 2009 - I Miss Lake Bemidji is available at www.cdbaby/cd/frankprenevost
Frank started Prenevost Music Publishing in 2007 to start working with a growing number of friends who asked for help protecting and promoting their catalog of songs. 2013 has started out with a bang as Prenevost Music landed 2 songs in film including the new Dennis Quaid/Zac Efron film At Any Cost and the Indy film East of Acadia. Let Frank know if he can help you.
