Charles A. McDougle III ("Cam3" is his initials) was born in Washington, DC and raised in the suburbs of Temple Hills, MD, part of Prince George's County.
He began writing rhymes for a middle school English assignment, where one had to write and sing a song. Despite never being a hip-hop fan before, Cam3 preferred to rap instead of sing. Since then, he continued to write, slowly molding his style, sharpening his skills, and eventually teaming with his best friend Brenton Atkins (aka R*A*D) to make music as "The CamRaderie." Soon they took the next step in their movement, when R*A*D formed SoulReal Records in 2009.
Cam3 is also a fledgling producer, experimenting with the musicmaking program FL Studio in the summer of 2009. To date, he has composed nearly 200 beats, video game remixes, and original pieces. Recently, however, Cam3 has decided to take a hiatus from beatmaking until he can perfect his skills at mastering, to focus more on his songwriting instead.
Whether laying verses or beats, Cam3 does his best to keep his music versatile, meaningful, creative, and true to himself. Most of all, he encourages others to think the same, as well as remember that there will be ALWAYS something to learn and ALWAYS something to prove.
